Kazakhstan Engineering R&D Center
Research and experimental development in the field of defense and national security
The R&D Center's activities are aimed at developing national science in the defense industrial sector, providing scientific and technical support for the modernization of existing military and dual-use products and the development of new ones in the interests of the state's military security.
Developing and implementing information technologies based on domestic innovative solutions and providing a full range of services, support, and project management for innovators to bring their ideas to industrial mass production.
The main areas of activity of the R&D Center:
- Research and Development;
- Since 2015, more than 50 research-and-development projects have been conducted for the Armed Forces, other troops, and military units of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for other government agencies and defense industry enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Experimental-Design Work;
- More than 10 experimental-design projects on weapons and military equipment and special-purpose vehicles have been implemented.
- Equipment testing at proving grounds;
- Development of military national standards and other National Action Plans;
- Since 2015, military national standards have been developed for the benefit of defense industry enterprises, the Armed Forces, and other troops and military units of the Republic of Kazakhstan. About 70% of the total number of military national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been developed.
- Conducting scientific and technical expertise;
- Since 2016, it has been conducting independent expertise of weapons, military, and special-purpose vehicles for defense industry enterprises, the Armed Forces, and other troops and military units of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Developments in the field of Information Technology;
- Fundraising for innovative commercial projects implementation;
- Providing a full range of services for innovators.
